About Becky
Becky Steele lives in Santa Cruz County, California, where the towering redwoods and coastal fog feed her love of eerie, atmospheric storytelling. A writer of screenplays, fiction, poetry, and prose, Becky aspires to craft chilling tales for both screen and page—especially in the genres of horror, thriller, and sci-fi.
A lifelong horror fan, she began devouring scary stories in books and film at the age of six. Her writing is heavily influenced by the haunting works of Stephen King, and she counts The Cell among her all-time favorite films for its surreal visuals and psychological depth.
When she's not writing, Becky can be found trail running through the forest, backpacking in the mountains, hiking coastal cliffs, or soaking up sun at the beach. She also has a deep love for cinema and the stage—frequently catching movies in theaters and attending live Shakespeare productions whenever she can.
